Short & Sweet

Back to school week went fairly ok.  I didn’t get any calls from teachers, the girls like their new classrooms, and no tears were shed…well, from the kids at least.  We’re still getting accustomed to waking up on time, but all is content in school land.

And the girls are getting free haircuts today at the JCPenney hair salon.  They had a free haircut promotion for the month of August for elementary school children, and I was able to book them appointments just in time…phew!  Which got me to thinkin’ about a new do’ for yours truly.

I’ve been rockin these long layers for quite some time now, and I’m feelin’ the itch for something insanely drastic!!

Here are a few hairstyles I found while perusing the web…

Rachel   Sandra   Keira   Emily   Mena   Jessica

I want something SHORT!  But I still want to be able to rock a beanie during the cold months without feeling like I might look like a boy!  Something that’s got a lil’ edge to it, something fun…something that won’t make me look like, well….a mom.

I actually used to have really short hair…so short that the stylist took an electric razor to the back of my head once….so I’m really not too nervous about chopping off my locks.  I just don’t know which one I want to lean towards.  Something not too short, easy to manage in the morning, and curling iron-able if I want to be fancy one day.

 What’s your vote?

  1. Short is sexy! I used to have a bob. Like just a tad shorter than sandra bullok’s and I loved it! I looked so professional, but I ended up growing it out because I couldn’t find a good sylist in Florida. {I got mine cut in Jordan} haha. I think you should go for it!

    • haha, sexy for sure!! I know what you mean about finding a good stylist…it’s a daunting task! I actually just found a great one…affordable, and she’s funny and nice like me =) I’ve been growing my hair for 2 years, and I’m done! haha, need a change!! XO

    • That’s what I’m thinking too!! If I don’t like it, it’s not forever. And that is so great that you’re donating to Locks of Love…your hair must be so long! Do a post about it, I’d love to see your hair transformation Ash! XO

  2. I was going to say Sandra’s and then noticed that everyone else is saying it to! It really is a cute length, and will still probably be long enough to pull back from your face if you need.

    • Yes!! I want to be able to put it into a ponytail for when I go running! Great observation Katie…will def let u know once the deed is done! =) XO

    • Hot!! Ohhh wee!! well ok then! haha! Remember when I had super short hair in high school…crazy!! Thx for always taking the time to read my blog mama, i really appreciate it XO

  3. I love short hair but don’t have the right face shape for it. Of course I have to go against the grain on the voting…I say Jessica’s. It’s the most versatile; short enough to feel like you have “shorter” hair but long enough to wear a beanie and pull back into a pony tail. Plus you can wear it curly without feeling like it’s too short.

    • I love the versatility of Jessica’s hair too…I want to be able to curl it, so I’m not gonna go too short…we’ll see, I might get super brave and tell my stylist to chop it off!! hehe XO

  4. I love all the hairstyles up. But I would probably suggest Jessica’s do since u wanted something that u can still curl when its “fancy time” .

    • As you know I have the Sandra/Emily hairstyle and you dont know how bad I wish I didnt cut it that short bc I want to curl it sometimes.

      • But I like that look on you!! Maybe just do a few curls in the front…and then toussle your hair…u don’t have to curl your entire head…I did that back in college when I had shorter than yours…ended up burning my forehead…NOT pretty! haha XO
