By the time you read this post, I’ll be at our campsite, trying to figure out how to boil water over the campfire for my morning coffee =) hehe
But as I promised in yesterday’s post, here is a yummy s’mores recipe I saw from Giada De Laurentiis’ cooking show on the Cooking Channel. I made a few changes, but you can find her original recipe here
Here’s what you’ll need:
I was able to find a bag of crostini already cut up and toasted for $0.99, but if you can’t find some that have been pre-toasted, just buy the loaf and slice it into pieces.
1. Butter the bread & sprinkle sugar
2. Pop them in the toaster until the butter & sugar have melted together. (since the crostini I bought was already toasted, I made sure not to toast these too long)
3. Roast some marshmallows, place them on top of the crositini, add your chocolate…then enjoy!
(I wanted to add a lil’ flavor, so I used a cadbury milk choc/caramel bar…feel free to use whatever chocolate you like)
So easy…and a yummy spin on a campfire favorite!
Hope you all have a great weekend! Can’t wait to share my first camping trip experience with you all!
xo, Louise
