This pretty much sums up how I feel today…
Juggling anything & everything to get the girls & ourselves ready for school.
It’s back to school week in our household. And aside from all the running that I did this past weekend, the girls and I have been running around trying to get the last tidbits we need for school.
school supplies
snacks
clothes
tupperware
And we’re still not done yet! We’ve got 2 more things left on our list…which we’ll get today, and then we’ll be done! Phew!
The hubbs and I went to Preschool orientation last night, and got to meet Mia’s new teacher. This will be Mia’s first day at school altogether! Exciting for her, but not so much for me. My baby is growing way too fast. And as much as I want her to grow and learn, I wish I could just hold her in a bubble with me for a lil’ bit longer…but I can’t. This Thursday will be hard for me when I bring her to school….it’s hard for me to write this post even, just thinking about it. I’m crossing my fingers it’ll be okay….I’m volunteering in Mia’s classroom this year, so the separation anxiety won’t be that bad right?
Today, Annalise has a meet and greet with her new teacher and classmates. I’m really impressed that they offer this opportunity to the students and parents. I don’t remember having a meet & greet when I went to school. It would have made the first day of school so much easier and less stressful for me.
There will definitely be a lot of juggling around the house this week….getting used to a new schedule, preparing snacks & lunches, filling backpacks, getting clothes ready for the next day, getting to bed early, OH and Annalise starts a new soccer season next week! OY!! It’s gonna be a crazy ride for the next 2 weeks….wish me luck!!
How’s back to school week in your house?
xo, Louise

Aw, I love the back to school stuff! Where I taught, we had a meet & greet the day before school and it was always great because the students got to see where their desk was going to be and I think it releases some anxiety about the first day of school. And on the teacher’s end, it was nice because you knew you had to get everything done a day ahead of time, so it was less stressful the night before!
Yes!! I’m actually excited to see Annalise’s class and meet her teacher, I know she’ll have an exciting year =) XO
Looks like you’ve been doing lots of running around, literally and figuratively! Hope the transition this year goes well for everyone
