Back in April I was extremely honored to have received 2 awards: the Yostie Blog Award from Maria at All Things Luxurious & the Versatile Blogger Award from Ashton at Dorian & Maine AND also from Ash at Humber Home Project.

I am extremely grateful for these awards, and would love to pass the love onto some amazing bloggers as well.

I met Amy via the twittersphere, and we’ve become fast friends ever since.  She was laid off herself, and I think I connected to her on that level, because we had the same battle scars.   And being that she’s a stay at home mom like myself, I found that we shared a lot in common.

In her post “I Am Currently” she talks about how she tries to find the mommy/me balance…a balancing act that I’ve yet to master, and can totally relate to myself.

Another very admirable trait about Amy is the love she projects onto her family, and her recognition of the importance of time.  In her post “An Attitude of Gratitude” she talks openly about how she is able to relish the time spent with her family and most importantly, that money is not of significant substance.  Lessons that I try to teach my children daily.

When I read her posts, I feel like I’m sitting with her at a local café, having a latte gabbing about life and motherhood.  She’s an amazing and inspiring woman, and I know that many agree with my sentiment.  And that’s why I chose her for the Yostie Award.  Her words inspire and motivate me to be authentic…to cherish every moment…and to love.

Thank you Amy for being a wonderful & influential person and friend in my life!

{7 Things About Yours Truly}

1. I have a love affair…no, {obsession} with chocolate.  I pretty much eat it everyday, if I can…and if there’s chocolate in the house…I will FIND it.
2. Sometimes when I’m across the room from the hubbs, I look at him (when he’s not paying attention) with the same fondness and awe, as when we were still teenagers.
3. My house is a complete & utter disaster…Martha would not be impressed.
4. Hi, I’m Louise and I’m a laundry neglecter!  When I do laundry, sometimes the clothes sit in the basket for a couple days until I get a chance to fold & put them away.  Hello WRINKLES!!
5. I try to eat healthy, but I’m on a total burger kick right now.  I crave some meat/cheese goodness at least once a week.
6. I absolutely love color…in clothing, purses, shoes, decor, & food…but I have a lot of grey in my closet …hmmm
7. My wine loves:  Shiraz & Malbec
